This is American made pulled single crystal Cerium doped YAG. Originally, Ce:YAG is used for making ultra sensitive radiation detectors. The material that went into making this stunning stone was almost a kilo of rough CeYAG. The wholesale cost of Ce:YAG in those days was about $2500~3000/kg
